DrapeShift service policy

Privacy policy

We use client information and submitted references to sell, brief, produce, check quality, deliver, support, and protect the work you request. We do not use it to train unrelated work or serve other clients.

Effective and last updated: 27 August 2026

1. Information we handle

We handle contact and brand details, billing and order records, Instagram and email correspondence, written and call-based briefs, garment images and videos, logos and creative references, model specifications and approvals, feedback, deliverables, and delivery confirmations.

Payment providers process card and bank-payment details under their own notices. DrapeShift needs the payment result and transaction record, not your full card credentials.

In the Model Brief Builder, typed and selected text answers may stay in your browser for up to 30 days. Once voice is added to a stage answer, that answer and all later edits remain only in the current browser session. The saved draft keeps its earlier pre-voice version, while answers in other stages may still be saved normally. Selected reference files stay local to the current session while you build.

In the Shoot Brief Builder, typed and selected answers, your model names, garment list, and shot list may stay in your browser for up to 30 days, including any text added by voice. The garment, location, and reference files you choose are kept in your own browser's storage for the same period so your draft survives closing the tab. Choosing Clear draft or Start new brief removes the saved answers and those stored files from this device immediately.

Neither builder sends a file anywhere while you are building. When you finish a brief, and only then, the files you attached are uploaded so the finished brief can carry one link to them instead of asking you to send them again. You can skip that upload and the brief still lists every file by name. Uploaded files are stored by our hosting provider for 90 days and then deleted automatically. Anyone holding the link can open them, which is what lets you paste one brief into a message; the link contains a long random value and is not listed, indexed, or guessable, so treat it as you would the brief itself. To have uploaded files removed before the 90 days are up, email us and give us the link.

2. Why we use it

  • To confirm a purchase, communicate with you, and manage the commercial order.
  • To prepare and confirm model and image briefs, validate a brand model, and keep its identity consistent.
  • To produce, check the quality of, deliver, correct, and support licensed final outputs.
  • To prevent fraud, resolve payment or service disputes, and keep required legal records.

Reference assets are limited to briefing, production, QA, and consistency for your work. They are not used for unrelated training or another client's production.

3. Who receives it

Authorised DrapeShift staff and production partners receive only the information needed for their work and must keep it confidential. Hosting, payment, email, messaging, video-call, and Google Drive providers process information needed to run those services.

Only after you explicitly use the microphone control does a brief builder send a voice recording through DrapeShift's server to a transcription provider for transient transcription. DrapeShift does not retain the recording, the transcript, or the text of your brief on its server. The transcription provider receives the temporary audio under its own processing terms.

The files you attach are uploaded to our hosting provider when you finish a brief, and are stored there under that provider's security terms, which may place them on servers outside Nigeria. That upload is the one time a brief builder sends a file, and skipping it costs you nothing but the link.

During validation, Airtable is our operational database and customer-relationship-management provider. It receives the minimum brand contact, order, payment-status, subscription, and service activity records needed to reconcile billing and operate the client relationship; it does not receive full card credentials. Provider processing or backups may involve storage or transfer outside Nigeria under the provider's contractual and security terms. We retain these operational records for the active relationship and afterward only as needed for support, reconciliation, fraud, disputes, and legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them under our retention process.

We do not sell your personal information or your garment and reference assets. We may disclose the minimum necessary information where required by law or to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

These provider, retention, and international-transfer terms remain subject to applicable law and Nigerian legal review before launch.

4. Portfolio permission

Portfolio permission is optional and unchecked. Buying from DrapeShift does not give us permission to publish your brand model, garments, references, or outputs in our portfolio. We use them publicly only after a separate explicit choice from an authorised client contact. Declining does not affect service.

5. Storage and retention

  • Client-facing Google Drive folders remain available during an active subscription and for 90 days afterward.
  • Approved models, dossiers, briefs, and production consistency assets are retained internally for 12 months after inactivity. We give 30 days' warning before deletion.
  • Real-person and garment references are deleted when no longer needed for production or dispute handling.
  • Files uploaded when you finish a brief are deleted 90 days after upload, whether or not the brief was ever sent to us.
  • Active approved models and final generations are backed up separately, but clients should still retain their own copies.

Neither builder submits your brief. Finishing a brief uploads the files you attached, so that the brief can carry a link to them; the brief itself reaches DrapeShift only when you deliberately use native sharing, or copy the brief, open Instagram, and then send it yourself.

Payment, fraud, dispute, and legal records may need to remain longer where applicable law or an unresolved claim requires it.

6. Your choices and requests

You may ask what we hold, correct inaccurate information, withdraw optional portfolio permission, or request earlier deletion through the same DrapeShift email or Instagram conversation used for your order. We honour earlier deletion requests subject to necessary payment, fraud, dispute, and legal records.

Withdrawing portfolio permission stops new portfolio use; it does not undo lawful processing already completed to deliver your order. If a request affects assets necessary to reproduce an active brand model, we explain that impact before deletion.
